Team members have developed and deployed solutions in the area of mesh networking and led engineering teams in embedded software, networking, head-end software systems and deployment planning. The founders of Aqleo also are committed to standards-based solutions, and have a track record of participation in industry and international standards organizations, including Water Innovations Alliance (WIA) and the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF).

Aqleo is committed to bringing the best communication and information technologies to address the global issues of freshwater conservation and energy efficiency. Aqleo has assembled a talented team whose members all have significant experience in leadership, management and technical development of projects in the smart grid space. Aqleo is located in the Germantown Innovation Center along the Germantown Technology Corridor and AgReserve, of Montgomery County, Maryland, close to Washington D.C.
